  • Initial consultation

    We walk through your home, your plans and how you want to live.

    I want to understand your routines, priorities, pain points and plans for the future, as well as the opportunities and constraints of the property.

    Because good design starts with understanding the people who live there, not just the room dimensions.

  • Concept design

    This is where the ideas start to take shape.

    I develop the overall design direction, refining layouts, exploring joinery and establishing the look, feel and functionality of your home.

    You'll see the direction come together through 3D visualisation and initial material selections - giving you something tangible to respond to before we dive into the detail.

  • Design development

    This is where decisions are properly resolved. Materials, finishes, fixtures, cabinetry, lighting and all those seemingly small decisions that have a very large impact are properly resolved.

    Everything is considered together, so you don't end up with a collection of beautiful things that don't quite belong together.

  • Documentation

    A beautiful design is only useful if someone can actually build it.

    I prepare the drawings and schedules required to accurately price and confidently deliver the design.

  • Absolutely. We can work with your existing trades or introduce you to one of our trusted cabinet makers, depending on your project.

  • Yes. Detailed cabinetry and joinery documentation can form part of your kitchen design package, allowing your cabinet maker to accurately price and build the design.

  • Yes. Appliance guidance is considered as part of the overall kitchen design to ensure everything fits, functions properly and works with the cabinetry and layout.

  • Yes - and this is one of our favourite parts. We select benchtops, splashbacks, cabinetry finishes, handles, tapware, sinks and other materials to create a cohesive scheme that feels considered rather than cookie-cutter.

  • Where do you work?

    Assembly Interiors works with homeowners across the Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne and bayside suburbs, Phillip Island and interstate enquiries are always welcome.
