Meet Courtney, Founder and Principal Interior Designer at Assembly Interiors
My background is anything but one-dimensional. From major event and exhibition design to a past life as a qualified silversmith, I’ve built a career around design, materials, making and managing complex projects. Today, I bring all of that experience to residential interiors - because great design is only half the job; knowing how to make it happen is the other half.
I’m passionate about homes that work hard without feeling like they do. I look at what’s already there, the architecture, orientation, materials and quirks, and find smarter ways to make it work for how you live now, and how you’ll live in the future. Good design should feel effortless, but getting there takes considered thinking, careful planning and a healthy respect for the details.
I specialise in custom kitchens, bathrooms, full home renovations and joinery across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, bringing a practical, sustainable approach and a genuine love of design to every project. Most importantly, I take the overwhelm out of the process, giving you a clear direction and managing the detail along the way.
Because creating a beautiful home is one thing. Getting the whole thing done properly is another.
Our ApproachMy passion lies in reviving older, untouched homes across Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and Melbourne’s Bayside suburbs.

Embracing a love for natural elements, mid-century design, and approachable sustainability, I have built a studio that proudly champions this exact niche.
