From building Lego houses as a child, to creating internationally recognised event activations and being a qualified silversmith...I bring a lifetime of experience to your project - spanning scale, colour, materiality, spacial planning, design finesse, sustainability, technical know how, financial control and project management.
I’m here to make the process of renovating smooth, enjoyable and transformative.
You will rarely find me suggesting radically changing the size of your home, I’d much rather reconfigure the existing footprint and come up with creative solutions to maximise your space. I consider orientation, how the home’s inhabitants use and occupy the space now and into the future, how house and garden can work in harmony to maximise the usable space and provide an environment that increases the home’s efficiency via sustainable design practices.
Based in Frankston, within the idyllic Mornington Peninsula, and with a love of homes from the 70s, 80s and 90s, consider me your go to interior designer if your home is in need of some TLC.
Our Approach.
Frankston and surrounding suburbs have always been an untouched pocket. Old brick homes, leafy hills, coastal views; it has everything going for it. There are so many brilliant homes waiting for renovations, but few designers that can give them what they need. A love for nature, older homes, eclectic interiors, sustainability and the suburb she's called home with her family; it's a niche that Courtney can proudly claim as her own.
Courtney works with clients to understand their needs, their current and future requirements, to design functional homes that work now and in twenty years. They don't feel like someone else's home and they reduce impact on the environment wherever possible. Courtney is here to guide and educate her audience and to prove that good, sustainable design is accessible for everyone. She's here to help her clients realise they don't need the perfect house to have the perfect home.
Courtney works to ensure her designs grow with our ever-changing needs as our families grow, as our careers shift, or our lifestyle changes. We've become accustomed to moving homes, tearing down structurally sound homes or living in spaces that make us frustrated, rather than developing the spaces we have to work with.
Courtney brings both corporate and life experience to every project, with an empathetic, calm and approachable style. She works to explore client options with consideration for their lifestyle, family, environment and style to create a home that is uniquely them. With a genuine passion for the local area and a desire to see people choose to stay in and nuture their homes for a long time, she will transform your home with solution focused design.
